Another day, another record for Lionel Messi.
This time, the Argentine player found a way to damage Valladolid in every way possible, just when Los Pucelanos thought they had a chance to snatch a point away from Camp Nou.
With the game drawn 1-1 after 28 minutes, Messi drilled an impressive assist through for Arturo Vidal to score Barcelona's second goal of the evening, but the real standout moment for "La Pulga" came five minutes later, as he found the back of the net with a massive free kick effort that made its way to the top left-hand corner of Jordi Masip's net.
With this goal, Messi reached one more milestone in his prolific career, one that no one expected him to especially due to his poor performance in that specific department during his early years as a pro.

If that was not enough reason to praise the footballer, he also managed to improve one particular stat in his eternal rivalry against Cristiano Ronaldo.
