The Brazilian forward is looking to speed up his purported transfer back to his former club.

Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar Jr has reportedly told the French club that he will not turn up for the upcoming pre-season training in a bid to force a transfer to Barcelona. The 27-year-old winger has been heavily linked with a move back to his former club this summer after expressing his desire to end his stint in the Ligue 1.

Neymar joined the Parc des Princes outfit in the summer of 2017 in a world-record deal in the excess of 200 million pounds. Despite impressing since his arrival, the forward's stay has been marred by a series of controversies.

Speculations suggest that the former Blaugrana winger is still unsettle and PSG willing to part ways with the attacker should the right offer arrive. Recent reports have revealed that Barcelona is keen on re-signing the attacker and talks have already began although no breakthrough has been made yet.

Due to the nature of the situation at hand, negotiations are expected to be prolonged for the most part of this summer's transfer window. According to Catalan publication Sport, Neymar has taken matters into his hands to facilitate the move by refusing to join his teammates for the pre-season tour which begins next week.

The former Santos prodigy is currently recovering for an ankle injury which ruled him out of action for Brazil at ongoing Copa America but is expected to be fully fit before the season commences.
