Coach Pep Guardiola has once again backed his team to be serious and finish their job against Almeria in their return-leg match of the Copa del Rey’s semi-finals.
Barcelona hammered their opponents 5-0 at the Camp Nou days ago in the first leg, but Guardiola insists that nothing is truly decided yet. During his pre-match press conference, the manager said:

“We have to take the match seriously and win it. It would be wise to think where we’re going...

“We are all travelling because we have the chance to qualify for another (Copa del Rey) final, which would be a huge success. We got a good result in the first leg, but what happened in the away leg in Seville (against Real Betis) is fresh on our minds.

He added: “We will attack, because if we speculate, they can beat us well. The best way to defend a 5-0 advantage is by attacking.”

Guardiola also spoke about Barcelona’s possibilities to clinch the treble once again this season. He however did not show any impatience over the earning of the rare price.

“There is no point thinking about the treble just yet,” he declared. “April and May are the time for studying options... The treble has only been done once in 110 years of history”.

Los Cules will be getting closer to the dream of their fans if they finish off the Andalusians today. The winner of this Almeria vs Barcelona match will face the winner of the Real Madrid vs Sevilla game in the Copa del Rey final, later in April.
