Just as done in the past years, the 2018 edition of the SheBelieves Cup will be held in the USA with England, Germany, and France coming in as the invited countries. The competition will once again employ the round-robin format used in the previous edition.
Here, all the four nations involved will play against each other and the points allocation will assume the standard formula of three being given for a win, one for a draw and zero for a loss.
Phil Neville’s English side will feature in the opening game of the annual tournament against current holders France on Thursday, March 1st. Hosts and winners of the first edition, the USWNT, will play against Germany in the second game of the tournament the following day.
While the competition is underway, the Algarve Cup and the Cyprus Cup will also commence in Portugal and Cyprus, respectively. Participating nations include Australia, Canada, Netherlands, Japan, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, South Korea, China PR, Iceland, Russia and Portugal for the former whereas Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Finland, Czech, Wales, Hungary, Slovakia, North Korea and South Africa make up the latter.
