Are recent transfer rumours emerging from Arsenal and Barcelona hinting at a move for Samir Nasri away from the Emirates Stadium? It seems so...
Arsenal’s Samir Nasri is arguably the most attractive footballer in the English Premier League right now. He is his club’s top scorer with 9 goals in the chart despite not being a striker. His consistent performance, his attacking instinct, and his formidable ball control has – according to Tribalfootball.com – transform him into a hot target in the eyes of Barcelona’s Pep Guardiola.

It has also been reported by the media in Catalonia that the Blaugrana are considering the idea of luring Samir Nasri away from Arsenal in the near future – especially if they fail to acquire Cesc Fabregas. But how could that be possible or even true?

Well, agent Jean-Pierre Bernes’ recent comments over Nasri’s future at the Emirates will only create more room for rumours to resound loudly. It is understood that Arsenal are looking forward to see the French midfielder sign a contract extension at the club. However, when Sky Sports News asked Bernes about the situation, the agent replied:

“We are in discussions to extend his contract. Then, we will see afterwards what direction Samir [Nasri] would want to take in his career.”

Like Barcelona’s recent signing Ibrahim Afellay presumed the last time out, it is impossible for any player not to dream about playing for the Catalans. Samir Nasri has never enjoyed silverware with Arsenal.

A transfer to Barcelona may help him achieve much more success in terms of trophies and status worldwide. In the meantime, Coach Arsene Wenger would want his players - including Samir Nasri - to focus for Arsenal's upcoming match against Leeds in the FA Cup.
