For Ghana, this has been nothing short of a poor World Cup qualifying campaign, and now, the Black Stars may have to make do without skipper Asamoah Gyan due to a potential injury. They've played three games and managed to score just one goal, courtesy of a late effort from Atletico Madrid's Thomas Partey to restore parity after Congo went ahead.

It goes without saying that the Black Stars will need to get all three points here in order to get back on track, and hope that Uganda and Egypt end up drawing their match to have a fighting chance at climbing back into the top half of the table.

Uganda have vaulted themselves into contention thanks to a shock win over Egypt, and right now, the Cranes may not have the highest scoring side, but they have managed to shut out all their opponents in their past three games. That tough defense has thus seen them earn seven points and as things stand, they're deservedly on top of Group E, a group that many had expected to be a battle between Ghana and Egypt.
