Antoine Griezmann is a highly sought after player. After a few impressive seasons with Atletico Madrid, and an almost unforgettable Euro 2016 campaign, the Frenchman is regarded as one of the best.
The 26-year-old has many suitors, according to Eric Olhats, a man AS described as a "Griezmann adviser". Olhats claims that there have been several approaches for the former Real Sociedad ace.
Speaking to RMC, Eric revealed that interest in the Frenchman comes from the Premier League and within La Liga. He revealed that both Real Madrid and Barcelona have inquired about the attacker’s situation.
"Chelsea, Manchester City, Barcelona and Real Madrid have knocked on the door to see what the situation is," he told RMC.
So why hasn’t a transfer been agreed? According to Olhats, no club has made a concrete offer for Griezmann. The cause of this is the player’s high release clause which can only be triggered by a few in Europe.
Griezmann’s buyout clause is valued at €100 million release clause, a fee which Man United have hesitated at despite being the favorites to lure him away from Los Rojiblancos.
A move to Santiago Bernabeu is out of the question in Olhats eyes. Atletico and Real Madrid have a pact of non-aggression, meaning neither club would try to sign the other club’s players.
