Coaching Barcelona has to take a toll on its coaches, and Luis Enrique's recent statement is testimony of that notion.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, the former midfielder revealed what he will do once his contract with Los Blaugranas ends this summer. In what must be disappointing news for other teams around the world, Luis Enrique will also take a year off from the sport, putting rumors to a rest about a possible move to another team.
"I'm not leaving Barcelona to coach another team. I have a great relationship with all the players and team execs. There's no better place for me to be at this moment. I just need to take some time off to recover from all the pressure," Luis Enrique admitted.
The former Celta and Roma boss hinted that he will return to the bench, although he is not sure where and when.
"Only time will tell where I end up. Right now, all I want is to reach the objectives we have been fighting for since the beginning of the season," the coach added.

In an unrelated note, the current Blaugrana boss admitted that superstar Lionel Messi is ready to play after missing last weekend's match against Granada due to a one-match ban. According to Luis Enrique, Messi's ban came in handy to have him fully fit for the remainder of the season.
