In 2015, the Ivory Coast secured their first AFCON title since 1992 by beating Ghana on spot-kicks in what was an epic penalty shoot-out. Whilst there is no Kolo Toure, Yaya Toure, Siaka Tiene, Didier Drogba, and Seydou Doumbia, current Elephants boss Michel Dussuyer has options like Eric Bailly, Serge N'Guessan, Franck Kessie and Wilfried Zaha available for selection.
Togo
Despite being the underdogs, Togo will surely not go down without a fight. The team are led by plenty of experience, with veteran striker Emmanuel Adebayor being tasked with leading the line for his side. Adebayor is also currently without a club, meaning that he will surely be hoping to use this tournament as a way to try to find himself some new employers. On the manager's bench is 68-year-old Claude Le Roy. The wily and highly experienced tactician has a solid record at AFCON tournaments - he only failed to reach the last eight on one occasion, and was in charge when Cameroon clinched the title back in 1988.
