In England, Manchester United returned to winning ways – and in spectacular fashion – after they thrashed defending champions Leicester 4-1 at Old Trafford.
On Thursday, though, the Red Devils will shift their focus to Europe, as they go in search of their first victory in the Europa League.
Jose Mourinho’s boys began their campaign with a trip to Feyenoord, which surprisingly ended in a 1-0 defeat for the 20-time English champions. Next up they face FC Zorya Luhansk at home.
Unfortunately, the Special One will be tasked with pulling a win from his hat without (possibly) three first team players. First on that list is full-back Luke Shaw, a player who came under criticism from Jose recently.

Speaking in a pre-game press conference, Mourinho revealed that the Englishman was ill and thus sent home due to fever and a sore throat in order to avoid it spreading within the squad.
To pile on the injury woes, Manchester United will also have to make do without summer signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan, as struggles with fitness continue to prevent the Armenian from shining for his new employers.

The last player in danger of missing Thursday’s game is Wayne Rooney, with Mourinho revealing that the Three Lions ace is suffering of a back pain.
However, fans may not lose sleep over their captain, as many called for him to benched after a string of disappointing displays for the Red Devils.
