Real Madrid has a two-point lead at the top of the table, with Sevilla and Barcelona breathing down their neck. Don't miss this weekend's games in La Liga with our detailed guide.

Action never seems to stop in La Liga, as Matchday Six keeps the ongoing streak of eleven straight games of football in the Spanish top flight.

There have been some major changes in La Liga's standings, but despite a disappointing draw against Villarreal, Real Madrid are still leading the pack with 13 points. Jorge Sampaoli's Sevilla has added a bit of spice to the mix by entering this weekend as the league's second place. Meanwhile, Barcelona's shaky start has seen them drop down to the third spot, something they'll try to put and end to when they visit Sporting Gijón.

Matchday 6: Social Media Buzz

Barcelona will have to deal, one more time, with the absence of Lionel Messi. "La Pulga" will miss the next four games in all competitions for Los Blaugranas due to a groin injury, but this doesn't seem to be a matter of concern for coach Luis Enrique.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid will have to make do without a couple of Brazilians: Marcelo and Casemiro. The holding midfielder will be out for up to two months after coming down with a leg fracture, while the left back will have to watch all games from the stands for about a month.

"I'm already working to be back!!"
