The Manchester City goalie failed to save two easy goals in the tournament and paid for the mistakes as England were bundled out of the competition by dark horses Iceland in a thrilling last 16 match played on Monday. Hart’s first goalkeeping blunder was witnessed during the England vs Wales match at the group stage of the competition. Gareth Bale drove in a free-kick from 35-yards which beat the wall, but Hart failed to get a firm grip on the ball and helplessly watched it making its way into the net.
Joe Hart has now conceded 4 goals from the last 7 shots on target he's faced for #ENG.

He then conceded an easy one in a similar fashion against minnows Iceland in their last 16 fixture at the Allianz Riviera when Kolbeinn Sigthorsson aimed at the goalpost with a relatively weak shot.Speaking to the FA, Hart revealed:
“We’re going to have to take some responsibility and me personally, I have to take some responsibility because I should be saving at least two goals that have happened in this tournament. The one [against Iceland] put us in a bad situation and we weren’t able to recover from it.
“As a group it’s down to us. All the plans are put in place – we knew everything about them that we needed to. Ultimately we didn’t perform. I didn’t perform personally to the level that’s required to push through to the quarter-finals.’’The England international was roasted by football fans on twitter following the disappointing performance for the Three Lions.
