Man United defender Marcos Rojo was spotted smoking and biting a woman’s dress outside a nightclub, as reported by the Daily Mail. The Argentina national was on international duty with his country last week during the international break and now risks facing Louis Van Gaal’s wrath ahead of their Premier League fixture with high-flying Everton at Old Trafford this weekend.
The footage, which seems to have been taken secretly from a distance, shows the 26-year-old puffing a piece of cigarette outside a night club as he engages an unidentified woman in a conversation, and later bites her dress playfully. He could be easily identified in the video due to his trademark tattoo on his neck.
The former Sporting Lisbon man had been sidelined for the better part of the season due to a shoulder injury and his recent behaviour at the night club could earn him even more time on the bench depending on how LVG reacts to the video, if he comes across it.
Interestingly, this is not the first time Rojo has been involved in such incidents; in December 2014, he was accused of having an affair with a woman named Sarah Watson. The two allegedly met at the Man United player’s Christmas party and the affair later resulted into a court battle when Rojo reportedly accused her of blackmail. It would be interesting to see how the Dutch tactician would react to the video given the fact that the Red Devils are struggling to earn a place in next year’s Champions League and need total focus and discipline at this juncture.
