Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang scored a brace to help the Bundesliga title-contenders cruise past Ingolstadt.

The Gabon international scored the two crucial goals in the second-half, after a goalless first half at the Signal Iduna Park.

The German giants are now five points behind Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich, thanks to goals from the 2015 African player of the year. Thomas Tuchel’s men seemed to be struggling against their opponents but the final 13 minutes of the game were fruitful, thanks to the goals from the Bundesliga star.

However, the game had its own fair share of controversy: Mats Hummels’ back pass went pass Roman Burki and into his own net, but the referee Guido Winkmann decided that the defender had been fouled even before he directed the ball into his own net.

Aubameyang then scored a close range header in the 77th minute of the game, before sealing the victory with a cool finish in the 86th minute at the bottom corner to keep in touch with league leaders Bayern Munich. The 26-year-old has now scored 25 goals in 25 appearances for the German outfit in all competitions.
