Zinedine Zidane's appointment as Real Madrid's coach has raised a number of opinions. Today, his former manager with the French National Team stated that Zizou's "mythical" figure could be seriously damaged if his results don't satisfy Santiago Bernabeu's supporters.
Despite what people may think, Zidane's personality could play a key role in his performance as a coach, considering his temper used to get him in trouble from time to time.
"Zidane is a myth. A myth capable of setting off emotions in people, and not only positive ones. He's not a smooth star, he's not a nice guy. He's capable of anything and that's what makes him a human god. From now on, Zidane will be judged on his results. If he's a champion, his legend will reinforce itself," Domenech stated.

Even if Zidane's first gig as a top flight manager comes without any previous experience, Domenech believes his former pupil with Les Bleus has what it takes to lead a complicated locker room with such superstars as Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo. In fact, if things go Zidane's way with the Spanish giants, Domenech predicted Zidane could be next in line to coach the French National Team.
"There's no one more legitimate than him to replace Didier Deschamps. And the day that Didier stops, he will take over from him. But for that to happen, he had to go to Real Madrid," Domenech concluded.
Zidane will make his debut as Los Blancos' coach next Saturday, when Real Madrid hosts Deportivo La Coruña at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
