With the right amount of drama, teams from all around Europe determined five tickets out of the eight remaining to compete in the continental tournament. Four out of the five teams that hosted the second leg were able to prevail against their opponents, with the only exception of Monaco, a team that won their game against Valencia, but the first leg's score line was too much for them to overcome.

Monaco 2-1 Valencia (aggregate 3-4)
Alvaro Negredo's early lobbed-ball gave Valencia the lead, cancelling the away goal advantage Monaco earned during the first leg This was Negredo's first European goal since November 27, 2013. Andrea Raggi and Marcelo Carrillo scored for the hosts, but time ran out for the red-and-white side.

Shakhtar 2-2 Rapid Wien (Aggregate 3-2)
The Ukrainian side struggled a little bit to defeat the Austrian team, even though they earned an early lead thanks to Marlos' goal. Rapid Wien fired back with goals by Schaub and Hoffman, only to have their lead cancelled by Gladky's final goal fo the evening. Right after the game's conclusion, the team's Twitter feed celebrated their inclusion in the next Champions League edition.

Malmö 2-0 Celtic (Aggregate 4-3)
With goals by Markus Rosenfeld and an own goal by Dedryck Boyata, the Swedish team eliminated the Scottish hoops from the Champions League Group Stage. After the game, in a true gesture of sportsmanship, Celtic's manager Ronny Delia took responsibility from his team's elimination, while praising their hosts this evening.

Maccabi Tel Aviv 1-1 FC Basel (Aggregate 3-3)
The team from Israel shocked one of last year's surprising sides, eliminating them thanks to the away goal rule. Eran Zahavi's goal was too much to overcome for the Swiss outfit, giving the Israeli a chance to play the tournament once more.

Dinamo Zagreb 4-1 Skenderbeu (Aggregate 6-1)
Hilal Soudani's display for the Croatian side was too much to handle, giving the team another shot at the most important club tournament in the world. Despite Goncalo Santos' red card just after the second half started, the Croatians were able to add two more goals to their tally in order to make it to the Group Stage. Soudani celebrated his performance with his followers on Twitter.
