The 2015 Apertura 2015 tournament continues in Mexico, with league leader León hosting one of the country's most beloved teams: Chivas del Guadalajara. Unbeaten at Nou Camp Stadium, "Los Panzas Verdes" want to establish their dominance against Chivas, a team that's still struggling to find their feet in the current tournament.
León's recent games have proven Juan Antonio Pizzi's squad can never be left for dead. Their last matchup ended with a 4-3 scoreline to their favour, after coming back from a 2-0 deficit. Mauro Boselli's performance during the ongoing tournament has him leading the goal scoring table, with six strikes so far. If the Argentine steps on the pitch with good luck, Chivas will be in for a tough time .
On the other hand, Guadalajara's performance so far has been rather disappointing, although coach Jose Manuel de la Torre can't be blamed for it. With a number of injuries to some of the team's key players, such as Marco Fabián or Carlos Salcido, Los Rojiblancos have won only a game out of five, making their relegation problems much harder than imagined.
Since León got promoted to the Liga MX a few years ago, these teams have played three games against each other at La Fiera's home turf. The team in green has won two out of those three matches with a 2-1 score line. Curiously enough, Chivas' only win against León since their promotion in 2012 ended with a similar result. Their previous meeting in the Mexican top flight saw Chivas getting all three points with a 1-0 score.
