The Spanish boss spoke after his team's 0-0 draw against Valerenga on Sunday, which saw Los Blancos earn their fifth pre-season clean sheet

After another match in which Real Madrid's striker were unable to break the deadlock, coach Rafael Benitez referred to the possibility of adding talent to his squad.

Regardless of those rumors that place Karim Benzema playing with a Premier League side, the Spanish coach trusts his team could be signing more players before the transfer window closes, since his squad has performed correctly at the back, but their display in front of the opponents' goal hasn't been as wonderful as expected.

"For a club like Real Madrid, the window is open until 31st August. All the players I have at my disposal right now are in my plans, but we can't deny we are interested in a couple of players we have been watching," Benitez stated.

The former Napoli & Chelsea boss referred to his team's performance on Sunday, particularly to what he expected from Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez. According to Benitez, Bale's new position will grant him the chance to be more influential in the team's performances.

"In the first half he spent more time on the left, playing one-twos with James, and in the second he was in the hole more. It's important for the players to have that mobility and freedom to roam," the coach added.

Benitez also stated that the future of the team's youngsters such as Marco Asensio and Martin Odegaard will be determined after the Santiago Bernabeu trophy match against Galatasaray.
