He felt he was blamed for the Bayern's loss against Porto on Wednesday. He has worked with Germany's national team and with Usain Bolt.

After 38 years in the role of doctor for Bayern Munich, Hans-Wilhelm Muller-Wohlfahrt has decided to resign from his position. He felt that he was being blamed for Bayern's 3-1 loss against Porto early this week in the Champions League.

"For unexplained reasons, it was the medical department that was chiefly blamed for the defeat," Muller-Wolfhard said.

The 72-year old doctor has experience is very well known in his field for being among the world's best doctors. He has worked as Germany's national team doctor and also with the fastest man on Earth, Usain Bolt, a six-time Olympic champion.

Muller-Wohlfahrt and Guardiola had plenty of differences in their time working togetherMuller-Wohlfahrt did not get along well with GuardiolaBayern is currently ten points ahead of Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga standings after 28 games played. Unfortunately, many of their stars have not fully recovered from their injuries. Franck Ribery, Arjen Robben, Bastian Scweinsteiger, Javi Martinez and David Alaba have been out for quite some time.

Josep Guardiola was expecting Ribery not to miss that many games after he sustained an ankle injury on March 11. Guardiola thought the Fench winger should have been back by now. That lack of trust did not sit well with Wolfhard.

"The relationship of trust has been permanently damaged," the doctor said.

He is not the only one leaving. His son Kilian as well as Peter Ueblacker and Lurz Hansel have left Bayern Munich with their boss.

This is not the first time he resigns. After he began working with the club in 1977, he did not get along with Jurgen Klinsmann and left in 2008. When the German manager left, he came back for a second stint with the club.

Bayern's first game without Muller-Wohlfahrt is this Saturday against Hoffenheim. Guardiola did not talk about the issue in his press conference but did confirm Phillip Lahm is feeling sick and won't play in the next game.
