According to Italian reports, Liverpool have now turned their attention to the Italian international as they seek to bolster their attacking options.

Will he stay or not?

Throughout the summer, the Italian press has been keen on linking Mario Balotelli with an exit from Milan, with Arsenal repeatedly being mentioned as one side that apparently were very interested.

They pointed to the link between the mercurial attacker and the Premier League powerhouse, namely their mutual sponsor Puma, and then mooted the possibility of a swap deal between the Italian and Costa Rican international Joel Campbell--who had spent his couple of seasons away from London.

And now this time, Corriere dello Sport is at it, with claims that the Rossoneri will be looking to offload some players this summer, namely Balotelli, with his price being floated about as approximately €15-18 million.

Looking to finally cut their ties? Milan have been seeking to offload the former Man City man all summer

The report links Super Mario this time with Liverpool, especially following some positive comments made by Reds boss Brendan Rodgers ahead of yesterday's International Champions Cup clash between the two sides.

"He’s got all the qualities. He’s 6ft 3ins, he’s quick, his touch is terrific and he can score goals. He went back to Italy to play and he’s still so young. If his focus is right, his concentration is right and he leads the lifestyle of a top player then he can play for any team in the world," he enthused before the game.

While Balotelli was unable to help his side as they succumbed to their third straight defeat in the States--meaning that they were outscored 10-1 during their miserable ICC campaign--Rodgers is on the lookout for another striker after seeing the move for Loic Remy collapse.

Besides, given that he was able to manage Luis Suarez--an interesting character in his own right--he might feel that he may be able to get the best out of a player that certainly has the potential to become a top-class attacker.
