Chelsea lost to Austrian giants Rapid Vienna on Antonio Conte's debut with the Blues.

Chelsea have lost their first match under new boss Antonio Conte. The 2-0 defeat to the Austrian club sent rival fans on Twitter into a frenzy. The Blues came into this fixture as the favorites, and fielded a relatively strong squad compared to their opponents’. Check out their lineup below:

But despite having the likes of Diego Costa and Willian in the starting lineup, Antonio Conte’s men could not stop the Austrian outfit in Vienna. The hosts found the back of the net in the first-half through Joelinton and in the second half through Tomi Correa.

The irony was the fact that former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho had guided his side to a 2-0 win over Wigan Athletic on the same day the Blues lost to the Austrian outfit. Check out some of the tweets from rival fans on Twitter:

The Blues will face WAC RZ Pellets on Wednesday July 20, and travel to the USA to play Liverpool, Real Madrid and AC Milan in their remaining pre-season fixtures. They will then return to England to face West Ham in their opening match of the 2016/17 league campaign.
