No more Paul Scholes in Manchester United’s rosters but Anderson doesn’t care the least.
This summer, Wesley Sneijder has emerged as the prime candidate to fill the void caused by Paul Scholes’ retirement. But developments on the transfer market seem to explain that Sneijder might not be a Red Devil ahead of next season.

Besides the Dutch, Samir Nasri has also appeared as a top transfer target on Manchester United’s summer wish list although recent speculations from the media suggest that Alex Ferguson won’t make further signings following his capture of David de Gea and Ashley Young. However, Brazilian midfielder Anderson is not frustrated by worries surrounding Paul Scholes’ departure.

The ex-Porto player is confident enough in his potential as he told Sky Sports News:

“Scholes was amazing, a legend, but it [his retirement] means more opportunity, more space for me. I think Scholes was very important for the team as he had amazing quality. But I think everyone together can take his position.”

Manchester United are going into the upcoming season as English Premier League champions with the mission of recovering from their UEFA Champions League final defeat to Barcelona at Wembley.
