Premier League games you won't want to miss on matchday 31
Liverpool vs Watford: Currently just one point behind Manchester City, Liverpool could leapfrog the Cityzens into top spot if they can win their upcoming match. The Reds will be kicking off matchday 31 with a home clash against a Watford side who are in danger of relegation after winning just one of their last five matches, and given that they've scored a whopping 18 goals in their last four home meetings against this opponent, there could be plenty of goals on the cards in this match.
Burnley vs Manchester City: Burnley will likely be in for a tough day at the office when league leaders Manchester City come to town. The Clarets haven't beaten Manchester City in seven years, and to compound things, are on a three game losing streak. Relegation is looking like a real possibility given that they've only picked up 22 points and although are just three points from safety, their dismal record against City, which has seen them lose their last nine meetings, could make things a lot more difficult. As for City, they'll be keen on getting back on track as they potentially could find themselves in second spot by the time this match kicks off.
Chelsea vs Brentford: The Blues will be aiming to make it a seventh straight win across all comps as they resume Premier League duties with a home clash against Brentford. Having gone 17 games unbeaten at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea, who will face a tough test against Real Madrid in the Champions League next week, will certainly be fancying their chances against a Brentford side who've lost three of their last five league games.
Manchester United vs Leicester City: Manchester United will be looking to mount a series challenge for a top four spot when they take on Leicester City. This will be the first game for the Red Devils following their disappointing 1-0 loss to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League. Although they beat Tottenham 3-2 thanks to a hat-trick from Cristiano Ronaldo, they have quite a bit of ground to make up, especially considering that both Tottenham and West Ham are in hot pursuit and Arsenal have a couple of games in hand. Meanwhile, Leicester have endured a disappointing campaign this season and will be hoping to return from the international hiatus by picking up a much needed win at Old Trafford.
Tottenham vs Newcastle United: Tottenham will be aiming to pick up a third win on the spin as they welcome Newcastle United this weekend. It's been a bumpy season for Spurs, but they've now seemingly turned a slight corner with four wins from their last five games. A top four spot isn't out of reach as they're just three points behind Arsenal, but Antonio Conte's side certainly have a lot of work to do if they wish to leap-frog the Gunners.
Crystal Palace vs Arsenal: Currently in fourth spot, Arsenal could find themselves in fifth by the time they take to the pitch against Crystal Palace on Monday. The Gunners do have some matches in hand which could help their cause as they chase a Champions League football spot, but Crystal Palace certainly will be doing their best to derail their plans as they also will be seeking to kick off the restart with a win over a fellow London side.
