They are also taking on a team who are unbeaten in their last 80 home matches against CONCACAF sides dating back to December 2000, and have looked largely in control so far at this year's CONCACAF W Gold Cup. Notably, Team USA have never lost in California in their last 55 matches (W51 D4), but could this record come crashing down in this match? The USWNT have shown that they are not without reproach, and Mexico just may have it within them to cause what would be a huge upset and pip the USWNT to top spot in Group A.
