That includes clashes with fellow World Cup participants Nigeria and Italy as well as losing 3-0 to hosts France and suffering a 6-1 humiliating defeat to Belgium (who did not qualify) in their final warm-up match.

The USWNT earned their eighth win in the CONCACAF Women's Championship by beating Canada 2-0 in the final to secure a spot for themselves in France.
