Arsenal fans know the importance of Saturday’s North London Derby. Wenger’s side sits in sixth spot, four points behind fifth-placed Tottenham, knowing they must win this tie in order to keep their top-four hopes alive.
Chelsea has also been struggling lately, meaning the Gunners can pull off a late surge for a Champions League spot. However, defeat at Wembley would be a huge blow.
Unfortunately, their chance of winning was severely rocked when Arsenal’s starting eleven was announced. Supporters were quick to notice one key name missing from the lineup: Aaron Ramsey.
It is disappointing to see the Welshman miss out on this crucial game especially after his excellent display in the 5-1 win over Everton last weekend. He netted a hat-trick and could have seriously troubled Hugo Lloris.

Details quickly emerged surrounding his absence. With Ramsey also failing to make the bench, it was easy to realize that he picked up an injury ahead of the derby.
A few journalists reported that the 27-year-old has a slight groin injury, thus forcing him to sit this game out. There was no extra information as to how long he will be out, but it’s unlikely he Ramsey will be spending much time on the sidelines.
