The two most expensive signings of the 2017-18 season were crucial for Man United and Chelsea during EPL's Matchday 6.

Fans may have complained about how much money was spent to sign them, but both Alvaro Morata and Romelu Lukaku are truly showing the investment is paying off.

The Belgian striker and the Spanish forward enjoyed interesting performances today, with both of them setting a particular record.

The former Everton man keeps adding his name to Manchester United's goal scoring records, as he is now one goal away from being the first Man united player to score seven goals in his first seven games.

With his goal, Lukaku kept the Red Devils at the top of the table, although Manchester City's goal differential gives them the upper hand against Mourinho's crew. As for the Spanish striker, the player's hat-trick against Stoke helped him join an exclusive list of players to score six goals in their first six EPL games.

Here's the list as provided by Mister Chip.

And if Blues' fans still had their doubts about Morata's chances of filling Diego Costa's shoes, this stats may very well erase their doubts.
