Major League Soccer giants Seattle Sounders and New York Red Bulls are set to clash on Sunday in an Eastern vs Western conference clash at the Century Link Stadium. This will be the first home match for MLS defending champions Sounders, who started their first two matches away from home.

Sounder's first MLS 2017 game was a 2-1 defeat to Houston Dynamo on March 4, while the second was a 2-2 draw with Montreal Impact on March 11. Red Bulls, on the other hand, started their campaign on a high, beating Atlanta United 2-1 on the opening weekend, and Colorado Rapids 1-0 on March 11. In terms of the first opening record, the Red Bulls have an 100% record compared to Sounders, who are yet to win a match.
