Whilst FIFA honor some of the best goals scored with the Puskas Award, we feel some of the best misses deserve the same spotlight from time to time. As a result, we bring you one of the worst fails.
The incident occurred in the lower Serbian leagues when Lokomotive took on Turbine. One player managed to capitalize from atrocious defending, then rounding the goalkeeper.
The player ran for goal and faced an empty net. Even the slightest of taps would have put him on the score sheet. Instead, the player went for power – too much of it – and was left red-faced after blasting the ball up high.
