Zlatan Ibrahimovic did not hang up his boots for Sweden in the usual fairy-tale style. The Swedish star had his goal disallowed for being ‘offside’ as Sweden crashed out of the tournament thanks to Radja Nainggolan’s stunner for Belgium.
Many fans of the 34-year-old hard-taking star were furious with the match officials for disallowing the goal as some fans claimed that he was actually onside. The Man United target had a bad outing with his country at the European Championship, having registered only two shots on target.
Zlatan's position by the time the ball was being played to himHe would have bowed out in style after 15 years of service for his country at the international level had the fourth official not ruled him offside. But despite failing to score, the former PSG man still bowed out with an impressive record, having scored 62 goals in 115 appearances in the Blue and Yellow shirt.
Here are some of the reactions from the furious fans:
still clueless why Zlatan's goal got disallowed.

Ai, Zlatan's disallowed goal wasn't offside, HUGE moment. Don't understand why the assistant put his flag up there, not even close to offside
