The Uruguay international has been in superb form for the Catalan giants this season, and is now the top scorer in La Liga with 18 goals. He has scored 29 goals for Barcelona in all competitions this season and he could increase the tally if he starts on Wednesday against Athletic Bilbao in their Copa del Rey quarter-final second leg fixture at Camp Nou.
The talented 29-year-old spent three and a half years at Anfield before joining Barcelona for £75 million.
Despite leaving the Reds to join Luis Enrique’s men, there is no love lost between him and the fans at Anfield. He even admitted that he misses the atmosphere at his former club, and would love to play for them again in the future.

During an interview with ESPN, the lethal forward said:
“You never know what will happen in the future.”
“If I was to return to England, it would be to play for Liverpool - not for any other team."
“I’ve missed the fans; the atmosphere is incredible, it’s incredible.’’
“Everyone who has played for Liverpool knows how important the fans are - they know they will always be in my heart."
While at Liverpool, he was named the Barclays Premier League Player of the Season in 2013/2014. He scored a total of 69 goals for The Reds in 110 appearances in the Premier League and a total of 82 goals in all competitions.
