The defending German champions have made a phenomenal start to the new season and are yet to taste a defeat in the 13 matches they have played. During this period Pep Guardiola's men have recorded 12 victories having scored 40 goals and have conceded just five.
Hertha Berlin on the other hand after finishing 15th in the league last season have performed admirably this time around and are fourth in Bundesliga, just one point behind Wolfsburg.
They will however face their stiffest challenge so far when they go against a side they have lost all of their last eight matches to. Bayern's home record against their opponents on Saturday is impeccable, having last suffered a home defeat at the hands of Hertha back in 1977.
Head coach Pal Dardai who was part of the Hertha side which defeated Bayern six years ago is however determined that his side can pull an upset at the expense of Bayern.
"The players are also eager to make something beautiful," said the Hungarian. "It still has not been managed [to beat Bayern] but that's not to say we aren't able to.
"This is a chance to do something special. I will not let us get too clever, we will just try to play to our limits. We are prepared and will be travelling there to have fun."
Even though Bayern enjoy a decent record against their counterparts on Saturday, they were give a run for their money in both the encounters last season which the defending champions eventually won by a 1-0 score line.
