Borussia Dortmund will welcome Odd to the Signal-Iduna-Park on Thursday, the 27th of August in a Europa League playoff match. Check the live TV and online streaming broadcast listings for BVB vs Odd below.

The German side put forth a heroic performance in the reverse leg winning the match 4-3 after going down by three goals. They have been very consistent otherwise recording back to back 4-0 victories in the Bundesliga.

After a very below par campaign last time out, the players are keen to respond this season and several of the players expressed their excitement at such a buoyant start. Experienced defender Marcel Schmelzer spoke of the progress the team has made under new manager Thomas Tuchel and has claimed that the team wants to maintain their spot at the top.

"We don’t want to give away any points therefore it was really important that we played such focused football today," the defender said. "I think this is very important.

"We have done really well. The true Dortmund is like how we played in Ingolstadt, last week against Borussia Monchengladbach and in the second half of the game against [Europa League qualifying opponents] Odd.

"We played a good game for the full 90 minutes against Ingolstadt. In the first half we let a lot of good chances get away which was something that bothered us during half time.

"After the break we completely sorted ourselves out. On the whole it was a really strong game from us."

Young full back Matthias Ginter was also in a buoyant mood after the team's performance against Ingolstadt but played down the importance of being at the top of the table after match day two.

"We showed from the very beginning that we desperately wanted to win," Ginter said. "Apart from one effort in the second half, Ingolstadt didn’t stand a chance.

"It feels great that we have won twice in the Bundesliga this season, but topping the table after only two matches isn’t especially conclusive."

Sokratis Papastathopoulos is expected to return to the side having suffered an ankle injury in the reverse fixture played at Skagerak Arena. Kevin Grosskreutz who played 90 minutes for Dortmund II on Saturday is also poised to make his first senior appearance of the season. Marco Reus who was rested in the first leg is expected to start this time around as Dortmund will be aiming to confirm their spot in the Europa League.
