David Villa has played in some of the most iconic fields in the world of soccer. This Sunday, with New York City FC, he will play at Yankee Stadium, one of the planet’s most important venues no matter the sport.
“I think it’s fantastic, and an honor to be able to share this home with the New York Yankees,” Villa said.

Organizers originally planned to only open certain sections of the stadium for spectators. With the high demand for tickets to the game between New England and Villas’s team, over 30,000 people are expected to fill Yankee Stadium.
