Once again, Gareth Bale's antics at Santiago Bernabeu have made fans unhappy. The Welshman missed a clear opportunity for Los Blancos just when they had scored their second goal of the evening. Karim Benzema drove the ball to their opponent's box, then passed the ball to James Rodriguez, all alone on the other side. But Bale, who was closer to the ball, decided to take away the chance from James, missing an open-net goal despite the defender's intervention.
James was annoyed by the Welshman's selfish display, while fans booed the former Tottenham Hotspur player. Three weeks ago, during Real Madrid's game against Espanyol, Bale was involved in a similar incident, when he decided to take a shot instead of assisting Cristiano Ronaldo, all alone inside the box.
Bale's reputation as a selfish player started with the team's first game of 2015, refusing to pass the ball once again to Cristiano or Karim Benzema against Valencia. Real Madrid lost that game 2-1.

No matter if Bale scores a hattrick, the headlines will read "Selfish Bale"

Gareth Bale, what are you doing? The most expensive footballer on this planet misses an open net. Unbelievable. https://t.co/l2vcUmdzMz
