Had South Africa gone 2-0 up, we may be looking at a very different score line from that match, and the Boys will feel they can put in another solid performance against Senegal.
The Senegalese, on the other hand, pulled off a major surprise when they condemned four-time African champions Ghana to a shameful defeat in their opening game. Having taken the lead early on via Andre Ayew, Ghana looked to have matters under control only for the Lions of Teranga to equalize and then grab the winner in sensational fashion during the dying moments of injury time. Against South Africa, an arguably less threatening opponent, they will feel they can play good football and stamp their authority on the game.
One can not with any certainty tip any team for victory in this tie but what’s for sure is that it will be a scilintating game of football.
