Having made their first appearance in Africa's premier international football competition in 1963, Ghana have four Africa Cup of Nations trophies in their cabinet and have made it to the quarter and semi-finals a good number of times. How Ghana qualified for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations
Ghana qualified for AFCON 2015 as group E winners on 19th November 2014 with 11 points, a point ahead of second-placed Guinea. A dour draw against Uganda followed by a 1-0 defeat in the return leg could not deny them entry into this year's tournament. Amends were made through hard-fought victories over Togo and Guinea with Adnrew Ayew and Asamoah Gyan proving instrumental throughout the qualification campaign.
