Earlier today Manchester City took on Manchester United in one of the Premier League's most anticipated clashes: the aptly-titled Manchester derby.
Prior to the two sides' meeting, the reigning Premier League champions had won their past three meetings (in league play), including both during the 2013/2014 season. In fact, one will have to go back to December 9, 2012 to see the last time the Red Devils defeated their cross-town rivals.
Sergio Aguero, who is now the leading goal-scorer with 10 goals, hit double digits in emphatic fashion as it was his second half goal that was enough to give City all three points and heap more misery on Louis Van Gaal's men. As usual, there was some tension and controversy as Chris Smalling was sent off after getting two yellows in the span of just eight minutes.
And of course, social media was buzzing as fans and neutrals flooded Twitter to express their thoughts.
