The 2014 World Cup in Brazil has reached it's climax.
A European giants Germany won the fourth trophy in their history, their first since 1990, after 24 years of failures and frustrations.
A 113 minute goal from Mario Gotze secured the trophy for Die MAnnschaft as their 22-year-old ace doomed Argentina to a 1-0 loss, walkng away in vain as La Albiceleste's World Cup trophy drought.
This means the time for handing out World Cup awards had come.
The Golden Boot award went to Colombia's 22-year-old star James Rodriguez. The Monaco ace lit the tournament on fire, scoring three goals in the group stage before adding another three in the round of 16 and quarter-final stages. This tally stood firm as Germany's Thomas Muller and Argentina's Lionel Messi failed to surpass the Colombian superstar's six goals.

Die Mannschaft shot-stopper Manuel Neuer sealed the double, at both team and individual level as his four clean sheets earned the Bayern Munich goalkeeper the 2014 World Cup Golden Gloves award, beating Costa Rica's Keylor Navas and Argentina's Sergio Romero.

La Albiceleste captain Lionel Messi saw his chances of winning the World Cup, emulating Argentine idol Diego Maradona, fade away. However, the 27-year-old did not walk away empty-handed as he claimed the coveted Golden Ball award after four consecutive Man of the Match awards, with four goals and an assist to his name.

The Hyundai Young Player award was presented to France ace Paul Pogba. The Juventus star was a present force in Les Blues midfield, aiding Didier Deschamps men reach the last 8 round, where they lost 1-0 to the eventual champions, Germany.

The last award was the fair play trophy and that went to South American nation Colombia.
