2026
DirecTV has the non-exclusive rights to broadcast live matches from the 2026 FIFA World Cup, after agreeing a deal with FIFA ahead of the tournament.
As part of the agreement, the subscription-based television provider has the rights to show all 104 matches from the tournament, from the opening match between Mexico and South America through to the final on 19 July 2026.

DirecTV has acquired non-exclusive LaLiga broadcast rights in Latin America and several Caribbean territories from 2020 to 2026. The pay-TV provider’s six-year deal includes the following countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Martinique, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Saint Martin, Uruguay, and Venezuela.

DIRECTV Sports Argentina history, coverage, features
DSports is an Argentinian sports channel owned by Vrio Corp.The pay-TV channel was originally launched in 2009 as DirecTV Sports, and it was not until 2022 that it was rebranded as DSports. It is one of the three dedicated sports channels available on DirecTV.
The channel is considered DirecTV's flagship sports offering. Over the years, it has owned the broadcast rights to several major sporting events, including the NBA, the Davis Cup and the Giro d'Italia.
In terms of football, the channel has previously aired live coverage of the FIFA World Cup, Copa America and La Liga. South America's second biggest continental competition, the Copa Sudamericana, has also been shown on DSports.
The channel has also been known to air other football-related programmes, including magazine shows and highlights packages.
DirecTV subscribers can either watch DSports on linear television or stream it through DGO, the broadcaster's dedicated streaming service. This can be accessed either through a web browser or via the DGO app, which can be downloaded for free onto iOS and Android devices in Argentina.
All programming on DSports is broadcast in Spanish. This includes live match commentary and studio analysis.
