Accent on youth on Monday with Barça B players heavily involved in training

Preparations for the upcoming preseason and 2018/19 LaLiga campaign continue apace at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper. Players from the first team trained this Monday morning in their first session of the week, amidst rainy conditions for the entirety. Ernesto Valverde's men had been given Sunday off, but returned to work early on Monday to kick off a busy week of workouts. Joining the group of first team players were seven members of the Barça B squad: Sergi Palencia, Marc Cucurella, Abel Ruiz, Óscar Mingueza, Monchu, Jorge Cuenca and Riqui Puig. For Mingueza, a player who has progressed through the club's ranks at every level, was training with the first team for the first time.
