Haas Park was, until recently, in need of serious re-development. So when Manchester City and the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates helped restore it in 2012 the community came together to maintain it and, most importantly, use it. Participation rose steeply and one of its earliest participants was Emily Rivas. Now, with aspirations of turning professional herself, Emily reflects on the impact Haas Park has had on both her footballing and personal development.
