Marco Asensio and Eden Hazard were ruled out due to injury, and four of their team-mates will be joining them on the stands.

Things need to change at the Bernabeu, and Zinedine Zidane has decided that a man that has barely played any minutes with the club could hold the key to end the team's recent woes.

Earlier today, Real Madrid revealed the list of players that will be involved in Sunday's match against Barcelona. Zidane included some of his most trusted players such as Sergio Ramos, Marcelo, Toni Kroos and Karim Benzema. On the other side, he decided to leave out Brahím Díaz, Nacho and Rodrygo, who was suspended with the "B" team last week and was not cleared to play by the Spanish Federation.

With that in mind, Zizou turned his attention to none other than Mariano Díaz. The striker has barely played this season with Los Blancos, but whenever he has been on the pitch, he has shown the drive and hunger the team needs right now. So, Mariano will make the squad, while summer signing Luka Jovic will have to watch the game from the stands as well.

Here's Real Madrid's squad for the crucial tie against Barcelona.

Real Madrid is two points behind Los Blaugranas in La Liga's standings, and Sunday's clash could very well decide which team can claim the title.
