The third matchday in the Clausura 2020 tournament will give us some talking points before and after all games are played, especially due to the nature of some of the ties.
The games this week will reignite rivalries betwee teams from the North side of Mexico against teams from the capital, especially those featuring América at Tijuana and Monterrey visiting Pumas. If that was not enough reason to keep track of Liga MX's games, Guadalajara will face their first serious test when they clash against Toluca at Akron Stadium.
The league will go back to its traditional Friday night kickoff with two games, with the bulk of Matchday 3 taking place on Saturday, with four games scheduled. Last, but not least, the weekend will come to an end with three games taking place on Sunday.

América's last five visits to Mexico's final frontier have left some interesting and controversial games, and Friday's clash should be no exception. The hosts usually have an edge over their rivals due to the turf inside their stadium, and that should play a key role in trying to defend their current four-game streak without a loss against América when playing at Estadio Caliente.

The defending champions struggled to earn a single point in their last outing against Morelia, which will see them in need to earn three points in their first trip of the season to Mexico City.
