The 2019-20 La Liga season is not turning out to be a two-team show, as Barcelona and Real Madrid have failed to establish their dominance after 12 games. Instead, teams like Real Sociedad, Atlético, Sevilla and even Granada have a fighting chance to play for La Liga due to the mishaps experienced by both Spanish football titans.
One of those things that does not help Barcelona's cause is their defense. Los Culés have conceded fourteen goals in eleven games, and not even one of the best goalkeepers in the world has been able to step up and deliver for Valverde's ailing defense.
56.2% - Marc-André ter Stegen's saves percentage in LaLiga this season is the second lowest of any regular 'keeper (Eibar's Marko Dmitrovic – 54%). Riddled. pic.twitter.com/yvY0iMwKs4

Speaking about Real Madrid, the Spanish capital side was unable to beat Betis, a team that is still without a win away from home, and which has also established a new milestone for La Liga teams visiting Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, as no team in history had kept a clean sheet against Los Blancos for three straight games in the Spanish capital.

Now, let's talk about Real Sociedad, the new team battling for the top spot. The Txuri-urdin managed to beat Granada and leapfrog the Andalucian side to reach the third place of the competition. At 22 points, things would only improve for Real Sociedad if they can steal points away from Real Madrid this November, and luckily for them, in-form striker Portu will be right there to help.
