Cristiano Ronaldo's problems with the IRS are real, and finally, the player is trying to solve them properly.
In an interview with El Chiringuito, the Portuguese striker admitted that the Spanish tax authorities are following his every move, but he was now ready to reach an agreement and move forward from the four charges of tax fraud against him.
"We're working on it. Everything can be solved except death. I know some things are not fair, but I also know that Spain takes care of me. It is what it is, what are you going to do about it?" CR7 inquired.
In fact, the Spanish IRS tried to seize his boat last summer, with some officers and policemen boarding his boat while he was taking a nap.
"There are a thousand boats in Formentera, and they decided to board the smallest one, mine. Policemen boarded the boat with cameras next to them, and it made me wonder if we were murderers or something like that,"Cristiano narrated.
"I was downstairs taking a nap, chilling out, when I heard the police making a ruckus upstairs. I went up and saw them with their guns and their cameras and asked what was going on. It was a f**ked up situation, but it is what it is," Cristiano added.
The Portuguese striker was accused of between 2011 and 2014, after he failed to declare taxes coming from his image rights. The striker is on the verge of settling his case with Spanish tax authorites, where he would be forced to pay over $14M dollars.
