There's no shame in praising your opponent prior to a crucial match, and Cristiano Ronaldo did just that during today's Open Media Day ahead of the UEFA Champions League final.
The Portuguese striker referred to Liverpool's chances of winning the title, and didn't hold back while praising Liverpool's attacking trio of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.
"I don't think it's going to be easy, because they remind me of Real Madrid's version from three years ago, with three quick players trying to score goals. I have a lot of respect for them. There's a reason why they are playing this final," Cristiano Ronaldo stated.
Nevertheless, the Portugues ace tried to boost his team's confidence ahead of the crucial match.
"They're great, but I think we're better. Also, we have to realize that we have the chance to make history. We have to show our experience in a game such as this one," the player added.
The Portuguese striker declared himself fully fit for Saturday's clash after recovering from an ankle injury he picked up during El Clásico on May 6.
