The final showdown in this season’s European club competition is scheduled for May 26 at Kiev and preparations are already underway in the camps of both Real Madrid and Liverpool. However, traveling fans have been faced with the challenge of acquiring rooms to lodge in prior to the clash with many hotels now charging extortionate fees.
According to the Daily Mail, some places are charging as high as £3,000 for rooms which were supposed to cost £250 for two nights. Nevertheless, the cries and pleas of fans eager to go and witness the game have been heard and received in good faith with persons living in the Kiev region coming to their rescue.
A Facebook group has been set up by the locals to offer accommodation to interested persons free of charge. With many of the home owners refusing to take payments for their gesture, the travelings fans are looking forward to is looking to support local businesses in Kiev with their funds as a payback.
