Real Madrid is expected to rest a few of its key players ahead of their UEFA Champions League semi-final second leg clash with Bayern Munich. Zinedine Zidane’s men secured a 2-1 away win at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday and are very much on course to win the title for the third consecutive season and a record 13th time.
Having long-lost the domestic league to rivals Barcelona, the Spanish capital club aims to end their season on a high by putting all of their eggs in the UCL basket. Nevertheless, there is still the possibility for the Whites to make their campaign in the domestic league a bit more respectable.
A win for them will be a step in the right direction as it will cut down the point deficit between themselves and second-placed Atletico Madrid. Diego Simeone’s men will subsequently take on Deportivo Alaves on Sunday to try and reinstate the gap.
