With Barcelona preparing for El Clasico in Miami, the club have been hit with a setback after Neymar was seen squaring off with a team-mate during training. That man whom the Brazilian locked horns with was new signing Nelson Semedo.
All appeared well at the Blaugrana camp, as the players continued preparation for their clash with Real Madrid in the International Champions Cup. It wasn’t until Neymar and Semedo were involved in a scuffle for the ball that things escalated.
The Selecao superstar was unhappy with the Camp Nou newcomer, squaring up to him after losing his temper. Javier Mascherano stepped in and held back the 25-year-old, according to the Daily Mail, with Semedo returning back to training.
Neymar, however, remained furious. He removed his bib and threw it onto the floor as he stormed off the pitch. The Brazilian angrily blasted a ball into the crossbar before leaving the ground entirely, with the player having headed off into the parking lot.
This incident will do little to calm fans’ fears over the player’s future. The former Santos ace has been linked with a world-record move to PSG, with the player reportedly being ready to step out of Messi’s shadow.
This training ground bust-up could speed up his £195m Ligue 1 switch. It remains unknown whether he will take part in the upcoming Clasico.
